So, instead, I upgraded to the 32 bit version of windows 7, in hopes later on I could simply upgrade to the 64 bit version. Apparently, I found out the hard way that you can't directly upgrade to the 64 bit version of windows 7 from a 32 bit windows XP. I couldn't find my XP 64 bit disks (just recently moved) so I used my very vintageĬopy of the regular XP 32 bit that I had lying around.
My hard drive burnt up, had to go and get a replacement. I just recently upgraded from Windows XP 64 Bit to Windows 7 64 bit, which I downloaded off the Microsoft website.
I'll go and share my whole situation in hopes it will all help.
